What's in a name?
The name JumpStart arose out of my many years working with people in counselling. If you use the analogy of a car, most of people come into counselling because they are having trouble with their lives, their metaphorical car. Sometimes that car has stalled or its running roughly. Sometimes it has a flat tire or something bigger and sometimes it's just run out of fuel! Most people who come to counselling don't need a "full engine rebuild" (although occasionally this is true). More often people simply need a JumpStart, a tune-up or some minor servicing to help them get them back on the road - thus the name "JumpStart".
